What makes MyTextMate different from Canvas notifications?
MyTextMate elegantly organizes Canvas assignments and exams into automated daily text messages with a level of customization that isn't achievable with Canvas notifications. Canvas partnered with MyTextMate in 2020 to bridge the communication gap between students and their coursework.
What makes MyTextMate different from calendar apps?
MyTextMate completely eliminates the need for calendars, which require manually inputting events and routinely updating them. MyTextMate does this by organizing and transforming upcoming events into personalized, easy-to-digest text messages. For students, these events automatically include their coursework from Canvas and any other obligations they add in the Schedule tab on the MyTextMate app.
What are the benefits of using MyTextMate?
When surveyed, 92% of MyTextMate users said it kept them organized, 88% said it prevented them from missing a due date, and 74% said it reduced their stress. While the benefits may vary for each individual, MyTextMate gives students, parents, and busy people an effortless way to stay on schedule.
How secure is my data?
At MyTextMate, we do nothing with your data except use it to send you text messages. We will never sell your data, and we are compliant with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We also have a completed Higher Education Cloud Vendor Assessment Tool (HECVAT) form available for universities upon request.
Why is MyTextMate free for some students and not for others?
We hope MyTextMate can be free for all students one day.
